Extract IP addresses from plain text, server logs, URLs, JSON, CSV, HTML, and email headers with this free online IP extractor. Detect valid IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, choose whether to include duplicates, filter by address type, and copy or download results instantly.
The Extract IP Addresses tool helps you find valid IP addresses inside any text block. It supports both IPv4 and IPv6, including compressed IPv6 notation like 2001:db8::1, and works entirely in your browser.
Keeps result order based on where each address appears in your input
⚙️ Validation and filtering
This IP extractor uses strict validation logic instead of only simple pattern matching:
IPv4 addresses must have four octets between 0 and 255
IPv6 addresses must follow valid hextet rules and compression syntax
Invalid values such as 999.999.999.999 are excluded
You can filter output by enabling only IPv4 or only IPv6
💡 Example: Extract IP addresses from logs
Input:
Connection from 192.168.1.10 failed.
Server: 10.0.0.5.
Another request came from 2001:db8::1.
Output:
192.168.1.10 IPv4
10.0.0.5 IPv4
2001:db8::1 IPv6
